2019-2020 District-Wide Application

THE 2019-2020 District-wide Application is now open.  (Please note that applications from 2018-2019 will not rollover, you must reapply.)

The deadline to be included in the first (2019-2020) initial random selection, this would include siblings is 11:59 PM, Sunday, January 13, 2019; with the random selection for Kindergarten and 6th grade (Friedell only/this does not include the Highly Gifted Programs at Friedell or Kellogg)  taking place on Monday, January 14, 2019. Families selected in the random selection will be notified by phone sometime during the week of January 14, 2019. Any additional random selections will take place as space becomes available.

Reminder, you must complete an application to qualify for sibling preference. Siblings are defined as brother/sister (step-siblings living in the same household) who will be enrolled in the same district-wide options school for the 2019-2020 school year.  (i.e. if you have an 8th grader in Friedell in the 18-19 school year and are applying for the incoming 6th grader in the 19-20 school year.  The 6th grader does not qualify for sibling preference.  Sibling preference will be verified before random drawing is done.)   If siblings miss the first initial drawing, you may still apply but will have to wait for a vacancy.  If you have questions regarding sibling preference, please contact Diane Paprocki, Office of Elementary & Secondary Education at 328-4300.

IMPORTANT - If your student is absent for 15 consecutive days, they will be dropped and their spot will not be held at the district-wide school.  You will need to reapply for the lottery, as well as, re-enroll into Rochester Public Schools.

Please note: Applicants MUST reapply every year if not selected, applications will NOT roll over.

The 2018-2019 District-Wide Application is closed to the public.  If you wish to apply for the 2018-2019 school year, please contact Diane Paprocki 328-4300.
