May 2018 AP Exam Registration

Registration Window: Thursday, March 1st - Friday, March 23rd at 3:10 pm (Late registration will not be accepted. Students and parents, please plan ahead.)

Cost: $54.00 per test, student’s regular fee; or, free for students on Free/Reduced lunch. If you are not on Free/Reduced and have an extenuating financial hardship, please speak with Dr. Austinson. (AP charges $94.00 per test, but the Minnesota Department of Education supplements the cost). There are no refunds.

To Register for Testing: Go to the Century website, click on the Latest News box for AP Registration and then select the appropriate registration link (Regular fee or Free/Reduced fee).

To Pay: Student should print 2 copies of the registration confirmation receipt that you are emailed.  Keep one copy for themselves and submit the other copy to the main office with the total amount due (which is printed on the registration receipt). Due March 23rd by 3:10 pm in the main office, late registration will not be taken. 

Testing Locations: National Volleyball Center and Century High School. No one other than students taking the exam and exam proctors are allowed in the testing rooms.

AP Information for new AP test takers: Information sessions will not be held this year. Rather, I will email all students who registered for the test additional helpful information. You are welcome to see me in the GH office or email me with questions. 

AP Pre-Bubbling for all students is required: Student must choose one day: Monday, April 23rd during the last ½ hour of lunches or Tuesday, April 24th during PLC time beginning at 7:40 am. Both sessions will be in the forum.  Attending one session is required. Please plan ahead by adding this to your phone calendar.

AP Test Dates: Monday, May 7th - Friday, May 18th.


  • Morning Tests: Students are to report to the test location by 7:30 am. Students will be excused from school pr. 1-5.
  • Afternoon Tests: Students are to report to the test location by 11:30 am. Students will be excused from school pr. 5-8.
  • Lunch: Students are encouraged to bring a sack lunch. There is no guarantee that there will be a lot of time to eat lunch.
  • No food or drink is allowed during the test.

What you may/may not bring to test room is listed on this link:

  • Cell phones are not allowed in the testing room (no electronic equipment is allowed except approved calculators for specific AP exams – see site listed below)
  • Bring several sharpened No. 2 pencils (not mechanical)
  • Bring blue/black ink pens for free-response questions
  • Bring an approved calculator with replacement batteries (the following website explains calculator policy)
  • Dress in layers when testing in the Volleyball Center. It is very cold in there!
  • Bring a sack lunch, just in case
