Category F: Professional Service
Professional Service (Maximum of 30 hours over 5-year period)
  1. Supervision of clinical experiences of:
    1. Persons enrolled in teacher licensure programs.
      MUST be verified by written statement of local administrator or college representative, with validation of hours of participation.

      Example: Supervision of student teacher/field experience
      Clock hours: One quarter = 16 clock hours
      One semester = 24 clock hours
      If supervision is shared with another teacher, divide clock hours in half.

    2. CAP students, etc.
      MUST be verified by teacher of the program in which the student is enrolled, with validation of hours of participation.

      Clock hours:
      Supervision of CAP students, etc. = 5 clock hours per experience. Maximum of 30 clock hours per five-year period.
  2. Membership on national, state, local committees involved in licensure, teacher education, or professional standards
    MUST be verified by written statement of committee chairperson or representative of agency responsible for committee operation, with validation of hours of participation.

    Examples: Local re-licensure committee
    State licensure committee
    Professional standards committee
    Staff development committee
    Clock hours: One hour of participation = one clock hour

  3. Participation in national, regional, or state accreditation
    MUST be verified by written statement or representative of accrediting agency, with validation of hours of participation.

    Examples: North Central accreditation team
    State vocational program evaluation
    Clock hours: One hour of participation = one clock hour

  4. Design and/or delivering and evaluating professional growth experiences for peers.
    Presenters may be awarded the assigned course credit for each new training delivered.

    Examples:
    Professional Growth Classes
    Site-based training
