What is GIP?

Each graduate resident assumes full responsibility for a classroom; therefore; applicants must be eligible for a Minnesota license at the elementary level.  The Graduate Induction Program provides one year of teaching experience, a stipend and tuition waivers for 32 graduate credits for the master's degree.

The Graduate Induction Program is enhanced by the selection of master veteran teachers in ISD 535 to be clinical coaches for the graduate residents.  Each clinical coaches four residents in self-identified areas of growth using collected data.  Their responsibilities include consultations, demonstration teaching, instructional feedback, and emotional support.
