Graduate Induction Program

District 535 and WSU - Partnership Since 1986
Winona State University (WSU) and Independent School District 535 have been joint participants in a Graduate Induction Program for grades K-6 elementary or special education classrooms in the Rochester (MN) Public Schools. The program is designed to assist inexperienced teachers (residents) with challenges unique to entry into the field of education. Residents complete a Master of Science in Education through a sequence of course work and field components. K-5 residents are placed in elementary school settings. Residents assigned to a sixth grade are at a middle school site.
