School Closing Procedures Due to Inclement Weather

The decision to close schools is not an easy one. While dangerous situations must be avoided, we do not want students to miss school unnecessarily. Please be assured these decisions are made thoughtfully and with the best interests of our students in mind.

Occasionally, it is necessary to modify the school day or close schools due to inclement weather. Doing so always causes some confusion. We can minimize this confusion with advance preparation and by following established procedures. The following information is provided to assist you in understanding what will happen should a decision be made to modify the school day or close school due to inclement weather conditions.
