Welcome to the 2011-2012 School Year!
NEW LOCATION FOR 2011-2012!! You are invited to attend the PTSA meetings at Willow Creek. Meet with us now on Tuesday, February 21 at 6:30 pm in the Room B-111 (Conference Room near Guidance Office). This will be a brief business meeting with the purpose of discussing some grant requests. Hope to see you there!
Brown Bag Lunch Thursday, February 9 at 12:00 in Room B-111. Topic for February is Parent Input for Cell Phone Usage During the School Day.
An additional presentation that the WC 6th graders will see on February 2 is Omegaman who talks about bullying. The link to his site is www.omegamanschools.com
There is a public presentation for parents and kids on Feb. 1 at John Marshall HS from 6:30-7:30pm sponsored by the Rochester Area Council that will address some of the topics listed below:

Feed My Starving Children sponsored by the PTSA will be May 1 and May 2 for the 8th grade classes. The 8th grade classes will have an opportunity to take advantage of this unique opportunity. More information is available at www.fmsc.org. They will also be participating in Operation Hometown Gratitude. There will be a donation drive in April to support this project.
All are welcome at our monthly PTSA meetings, which are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm. Meetings for the 2011-2012 school year are September 20, October 25, November 14, December 20, January 17, February 21, March 20, April 17, and May 15. All meetings are at 6:30 pm.
Brown Bag lunches are an opportunity to hobnob with WC administration...an informal group time to find out more about what is happening at WC. Brown Bag dates are from 12:00-1:00 with dates to be determined. Location is to be determined at WC, so stop into the office when you get there!

We are looking for 2011-12 Committee Chairs. Open positions include President-Elect, Area Council Representative, Targeted Fundraising, Magazine Sales, Staff Appreciation, 8th Grade Celebration, Grant Writer, Reflections, Direct Donation, and Legislative. Please contact Kristin Sorenson if you have an interest becoming more involved at Willow Creek!
