2008 Attendance Boundary Adjustment

2008 Attendance Boundary Adjustment
On March 4, 2008, Sheri Allen, Director of Elementary and Secondary Education, presented information to the School Board on the formation of the Attendance Boundary Adjustment Committee (ABAC) and asked for volunteers from the community to participate. The committee is made up of parent representatives from each school; administrative staff representatives from elementary, middle, and high school buildings; community representatives; and District representatives. Phil Wheeler, Director, Rochester-Olmsted Planning Department, will be the facilitator.

The purpose of the committee is to research alternative school attendance boundaries and recommend a boundary adjustment plan to the School Board that reflects the new elementary school and other changes affecting choice and neighborhood schools. The committee will work through the summer and share its findings with the School Board in October 2008.

There will be no changes in the existing District attendance boundaries for the 2008-2009 school year.
