Early Childhood Check-In/Screening is a free comprehensive screening offered by Rochester Public Schools for any child 3 years of age or older.

At your check-in/screening appointment, school staff will check your child's:

  • Vision
  • Hearing
  • Growth
  • Immunization status
  • Skills in thinking, communication and language
  • Skills in large and small motor control
  • Skills in social and emotional development

Your child's Early Childhood Check-In/Screening must be completed before entering a public kindergarten program. Completing your child's check-in/screening at age 3 is recommended.
