Hello Awesome Folwell Families!
At our January PTSA meeting, we made some very exciting decisions! Here are our top three priorities for helping improve our school:
Priority #1: Build a sign in front of Folwell to better communicate with parents! This spring, Thomas Carlson will build the sign for his Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project.
Priority #2: Enhance learning in the classroom! We are very excited to purchase 10 iPads and 10 Netbooks for Folwell!
Priority #3: Pursue an addition to the playground! We approved a budget of $30,000 = $26,600 for new playground equipment + $3,400 for trees and landscaping. A combination of grants, fundraisers and donations will be used to fund the playground addition. For more information, please check out the Folwell homepage.

Walking School Bus Volunteers Needed For Spring!
Folwell’s Walking School Bus program helps students walk home safely after school. Each weekday in the spring, an adult walks with a group of children on a set route close to their home. Folwell’s spring Walking School Bus program starts Monday April 9, 2012, and runs through the end of the school year.
Parent volunteers make the WSB happen. Please sign up to walk students, including your own, home after school.
If you are interested in having your child walk home from school with the Walking School Bus please look for a sign up coming in March!

The 19th Annual Folwell Science Fair
The Folwell Science Fair is sponsored by the Folwell PTSA and is open to all first thru fifth grade students. It is never too early to start thinking about what you will do for your project.
