Rochester Public Schools Closed


Rochester Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, due to weather conditions.

School Age Child Care (SACC) is OPEN at Northrop from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

All day and evening Community Education classes are cancelled.

All night school classes are cancelled. Alternative Learning Center (ALC) Night School at Golden Hill is cancelled.

The following schools’ conferences have been canceled for tonight and will be rescheduled for another date:

Gage Elementary-rescheduled for Thursday, February 11
Bishop Elementary-rescheduled for Tuesday, February 16
Jefferson Elementary-rescheduled for Tuesday, February 23
Elton Hills Elementary- rescheduled by classroom teachers for another date
Sunset Terrace Elementary
Ben Franklin/Montessori at Franklin Elementary
Bamber Valley Elementary-rescheduled for Tuesday, February 16 (same time), PTA meeting canceled

ATTENDANCE BOUNDARIES

The Rochester Public School Board took action on the new attendance boundaries at the regular Board meeting on Tuesday, December 9. District Transportation, Registration and Records, and Olmsted County are working collaboratively to update the changes and enter them in the student information systems. District parents/guardians will receive busing eligibility and school assignments on or about May 10, 2009. A map of the attendance boundaries for the

A wall map is also available for review at the Edison Building, 615 7th Street SW.

February 12th- Late Start: School begins at 11:15; No AM Kindergarten

February 15th- No School: President's Day

School begins at 9:15 and ends at 3:35 for 1st-5th grades. AM Kindergarten begins at 9:15 and ends at 11:50. PM Kindergarten begins at 1:00 and ends at 3:35.

Please call the attendance line at 328-3501 to report your absent child. If you leave a message on the attendance line after 9:30 a.m., your message may not be received until after morning attendance has been taken and you might still receive an attendance call from the office. Thank you for your patience.
